Libya Oil Tunisia expands its lubricants activities

On July 15th 2016, la Société Nationale de Distribution des Pétroles (SNDP – AGIL) acquired 34% shares of Lubrifiants de Tunisie (LDT). The tripartite agreement protocol was signed in Tunis by Mr. Ibrahim Bugaighis, CEO of Libya Oil Holdings Ltd. (LOHL), Mr. Moncef Matoussi, CEO of SNDP – AGIL, and Mr. Rida ElAmir ElMasri, GM of Libya Oil Tunisia.
With LDT’s new shares distribution and in addition to their current duties, Mr. Matoussi was elected Chairman of the Board and Mr. ElAmir appointed GM.
Created in 1974, LDT owns and operates an important lubricants blending plant in the Radès oil area. The lubricants plant is ISO 9001 certified and, with a total production capacity of 40.000 Tons per year, LDT counts among the biggest lubricants plants operated by LOHL in Africa.
Libya Oil Tunisia and SNDP have a long standing history producing lubricants together, an alliance that is now reinforced through the new partnership, allowing for an even larger production capacity.
